Salt Lake Bees 2026 Game Time Changes: What Fans Need to Know! (2026)

Salt Lake Bees Buzz with a Major Sunday Schedule Shake-Up

Get ready, Salt Lake Bees fans, because your Sundays are in for a major transformation! The team just dropped some exciting news about their 2026 game schedule, and it's sure to spark some buzz.

The Bees have revealed their game times for the upcoming season, featuring a significant shift in their Sunday game plan. Say goodbye to the traditional Sunday afternoon games, as the Bees are mixing things up. In April and May, the team will still offer Sunday matinees, but with a twist. The first pitch will now be at 2:05 p.m., a two-hour delay compared to last season's Sunday home games.

But here's where it gets controversial: from June onwards, the Sunday games will start at 6:05 p.m., marking the end of the beloved afternoon tradition. This decision, coordinated with the Pacific Coast League, was influenced by player and fan feedback from the Bees' inaugural season at The Ballpark at America First Square, according to Nate Thompson, the team's communications manager.

And the reason behind this change? Last year's afternoon games, especially in the summer, were scorchers. By moving the start time to 6:05 p.m., the stadium's backstop will provide shade from the sun, making the experience more pleasant for fans.

"We're simply aiming to create a more enjoyable atmosphere for our fans," Thompson explained to KSL. "It's all about ensuring they have a great time. We're confident this change will be a step in the right direction."

The Bees are keeping their popular "Sunday Brunch at the Ballpark" promotion for the 2:05 p.m. games, and they're considering adding more "Bark in the Park" events for the later Sunday games.

The 2026 schedule has a few more surprises. Tuesday through Saturday games will start at 6:35 p.m., which is standard for the season's beginning but a half-hour earlier than the typical mid-summer game times. This adjustment means fewer late nights at the ballpark, benefiting both fans and players, as Thompson pointed out. It's also a plus for families attending games on school nights.

Mark your calendars, as the Bees' 2026 season kicks off on March 28 in Las Vegas, followed by their home opener against Sacramento on March 31.

What do you think, sports enthusiasts? Is this schedule change a home run or a strikeout? Will the later Sunday games be a hit or miss? Share your thoughts in the comments!
