Hold onto your controllers, Xbox fans! Some highly anticipated titles revealed at the recent State of Play event won't be gracing your consoles at launch, and one of the biggest names missing is none other than Silent Hill: Townfall.
Last night's State of Play event brought a wave of exciting game announcements, and while we've rounded up over 15 titles confirmed for Xbox, it's also important to acknowledge the ones that are taking a different path, at least initially.
The most significant absence for many is Silent Hill: Townfall. Expectations were high for a simultaneous release across all major platforms, but as it stands, the game's initial reveal trailer and subsequent press materials exclusively list PS5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store as its launch destinations. This means Xbox players will have to wait a little longer to dive into the atmospheric horror.
But here's where it gets a bit more complex... It's not just Silent Hill: Townfall. Several other promising titles from the event are also skipping an immediate Xbox release. This includes games like Kena: Scars of Kosmora, 4Loop, Yakoh Shinobi Ops, and what appears to be Konami's Rev.Noir. And, of course, any first-party PlayStation titles, such as the much-rumored God of War Trilogy Remake, are to be expectedly absent.
While it's a bummer to miss out on these on day one, it's not all doom and gloom! We're still holding out hope that titles like Silent Hill: Townfall and Kena: Scars of Kosmora will eventually make their way to Xbox. We've seen this happen before with other highly acclaimed games, like the original Silent Hill 2 and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, which eventually found their way to Xbox after their initial platform exclusivity periods.

- Silent Hill: Townfall: Prepare for an immersive, first-person experience where you'll need to explore, evade, and survive using a limited arsenal. Expect heart-pounding evasion sequences, frantic combat, and narrative-driven puzzles that slowly unveil a deeply unsettling truth.
- Kena: Scars of Kosmora: This expansion builds upon the acclaimed action-adventure and combat of its predecessor. Players will journey through a visually stunning island brimming with hidden secrets, spectral encounters, formidable bosses, and diverse cultural narratives.
- 4:Loop: Game Director Mike Booth has shed light on the intricate gameplay systems that make 4:Loop an endlessly replayable co-op shooter. Its design emphasizes emergent combat, meaningful player choices, and dynamic encounters that keep you on your toes.
- Yakoh Shinobi Ops: Four shadowy shinobi emerge from the darkness, as silent as the night. Their mission is deadly, and to achieve it, they must master their ancient arts – hiding, showing mercy, and deceiving. They venture towards either an inevitable death or a hard-won salvation, all while evading the relentless pursuit of immortal Hunters. Success hinges on their ability to return alive.
- Rev.Noir: In a world gripped by 'lightfall' – a mysterious phenomenon that brings death to all it touches – a boy with amnesia encounters a special girl. Together, they embark on a quest to halt this deadly phenomenon, believing that their journey will not only save the world but also save her.
